Now an experienced filmmaker in Taiwan, Jimmy HUANG studied Foreign Languages and Literature at the Tunghai University. He has worked with the most talented of Taiwan directors, including TSAI Ming-liang in The Hole (1998), which was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1998. HUANG is also experienced in various productions from award winning art house projects to the first major studio production in Taiwan, and has a talent for integrating resources for international coproductions. In 2002, he produced Double Vision (directed by CHEN Kuo-fu), an international co-production financed by Sony Columbia.
