Exclusive Interview with 'Silence' Director Martin Scorsese

Released in Taiwan on Feb. 17th, Silence was set in 17th century Edo period Japan where Catholicism was forbidden. The film traces two Jesuit priests (played by Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who enter Japan illegally to investigate the reason why their missing mentor Father (Liam Neeson) abandoned his faith. During their secret stay, the two witness the violence and persecution many suffer, which finally leads them to self-doubts. They are to face the toughest choice...
