Born in 1958, LEE was a famous actress in the 70s and the 80s performing in many popular films and TV series. Later, she became a TV producer and manager for talents. At age 50, she produced her first film, Orz Boyz (YANG Ya-che, 2008), a film about children’s friendship and a genre that hasn’t been seen in recent Taiwan Cinema. Her second film, Monga (NIU Chenzer, 2010), a gangster action drama about teenagers became recently the most-talked-about commercial success, which was selected for the Panorama in the Berlin Film Festival. Not only do both films prove LEE’s successful career in producing, her sense of marketing and execution as a producer is undisputed.
